All I Want for Christmas -- the DotNetNuke Version

As the year ends there are a few things that, if dropped in my Christmas stocking, would make me very happy and my life much easier.  Here is my Christmas wish list.

Live Content 2.0.  I discovered LiveContent a few months ago, and have used it on several websites.  I even won a copy at the Open Force Open Social event.  I'm eagerly wating for the next version that will include passing query strings to modules, and multiple "themes."  I've worked around most of the shortcomings of this wonderful module, but look forward to not having to do workarounds in 2009.

ActiveForums ForumViewer.  Version 4 of ActiveModules has been out for several months now ( They are now up to Version 4.1.60, but I've yet to upgrade any of the several sites on which I'm using this module.  The requirement to upgrade to SQL Server 2005 is one reason, but the lack of a compatible version of the ForumViewer is the big sticking point.  Finishing off this, IMHO, vital component of the ActiveForums package is a must for me.  And, while they are at it, maybe they could integrate posting and replying with Smart-Thinker's UserProfile and UserGroup.

Engage Publish.  One of my websites sponsored integration of Publish Comments with ActiveForums earlier in the year.  The biggest missing feature is templating for article displays.  This is something that will transform Publish from a merely wonderful module to a great module.  Oh, and Publish needs integration with Smart-Thinker's modules, too.

These three, along with the Smart-Thinker modules are my standard tools.  Now ... if only they did more ...
